Man Tries Stealing From Isabella County Woman’s Purse

A 69-year old woman told police she was picking up empty cans on Saturday when she found a man going through her purse. The woman was among several victims of theft and attempted theft in Isabella County in recent days. The woman told police that she was picking up the cans in the 3000 block of East Deerfield Road, and when she returned to her car, an unknown man was in the car and going through her change purse. The man told the woman he was an Uber driver, then left the area.
