20-year-old Mackenzie Thayer will spend the next seven months in jail after seriously injuring a pedestrian in a hit-and-run in July. Police arrested Thayer in the early morning hours of July 15th. She was also charged with drunk driving. She entered a no contest plea to hitting Carolyn Powell on Joseph Drive west of Bamber Road. She also faces 208 hours of community service.
