A traffic violation landed a Clare man in jail for an alleged meth lab in his car. The stop occurred shortly before 3:00AM on Friday at the intersection of Cour and Wheaton Streets. The officer noticed a strong chemical smell while talking to the driver before finding the components of the lab. Police haven’t named the driver because he hasn’t been formally charged yet.
