A Michigan Appellate Court panel threw out a lawsuit from Mt Pleasant lawyer Todd Levitt against local newspaper The Morning Sun. Levitt filed the suit in response to the newspaper’s reporting of a suit he filed against a CMU student over a parody Twitter account. The author noted that Levitt created a website, made up an award, and gave himself the award. The panel ruled that “The facts of this case demonstrate that plaintiff admitted that he commissioned the topcollegelawyers.com website and created the College Lawyer of the Year award to generate profits.”
