Construction on the Pickard Street bridge over the Chippewa River begins on June 5th. Crews will remove and replace the bridge deck, sidewalk, concrete approaches and railings. Work should be completed by August 11th, but some additional lane closures might be necessary in September. Access for local traffic will continue, but Pickard will be closed to through traffic between Mission and Bradley streets.

Pickard Street Bridge is the second major bridge in the area to shut down for a significant time this summer. Construction on the Lincoln Street Bridge is also causing issues for many local drivers.
