Superior Street Barber Shop Owner Vows to Rebuild

Superior Street Barber Shop owner Miguel Ortiz vowed to rebuild as firefighters worked to control a fire in his downtown Alma business on Tuesday. Ortiz spoke with his business neighbors at Treasures, who offered up a temporary work space for him in an empty room at their business. Alma Fire Chief Harold House says the barbershop building is likely a total loss. A neighboring State Farm insurance office sustained damage, but likely can be salvaged.
