Thousands of homes and businesses throughout mid-Michigan remain powerless this morning after Wednesday’s high winds. 2,770 customers in Clare County lost power, along with 3,340 in Gratiot County and 367 in Isabella County. Estimates say power may not be restored in some areas until Sunday. Statewide, more than 600,000 outages were reported, the most in a single event since 1991.
