The Gratiot County Sheriff released statistics from the year 2016. The report indicated 1,348 calls for service, up from 1,272 in 2015. The number of traffic stops increased from 1,533 in 2015 to 1,629 in 2016. 428 tickets were also issued last year, with 319 arrests. Both numbers are up from 367 and 159 in 2015 respectively.
