The Great Lakes Loons are headed to the Midwest League Championship series for the first time in franchise history after defeating the West Michigan Whitecaps 5-2 Tuesday in Comstock Park. The Loons trailed 2-0 heading into the top of the 7th inning when Jake Henson drove in the first run for the Loons. Omar Estevez drove in a two-run home run to give the Loons the lead in the 8th inning. The Loons begin a three-game series against the Clinton LumberKings tonight in Iowa.
