A Midland County judge sentenced 25-year-old Brandon McMullen to three to 15 years in prison after he pleaded no contest to an October crash that killed a Sanford woman. McMullen was driving from Mt Pleasant on M-20 when he drunkenly slammed into the back of a car driven by 53-year-old Vickie Shauger at a stoplight. Shauger died at the scene. Blood tests following the crash showed that McMullen had a blood alcohol level of 0.29 percent.
