An official from the Central Michigan District Health Department told Isabella County commissioners Tuesday night that E. coli issues in the Chippewa River aren’t just a Beal City problem. Scott Jones said pollution issues go beyond to Nottawa Township in the Mt Pleasant, Midland and Saginaw counties and into the Great Lakes. Jones said that environmental officials came up with a strategy for the hot spots, and completed mapping of the pollution.
