A state grant program that started 4 years ago has resulted in more than $380,000 in exterior improvement project at 37 homes in the city of Mt. Pleasant. Repairs included roofs, porch & deck replacements & window & door installations.  Now the Michigan State Housing Development Authority has awarded Mt. Pleasant with another $50,000 to boost neighborhood aesthetics.  Mt. Pleasant spokeswoman Darcy Orlik announced yesterday the city has kicked in another $50,000 to the program.
