A 39-year-old Mt. Pleasant man & his dog both died Thursday night after being hit by a car while crossing Mission Street. The victim slipped & fell while crossing the road with his leashed dog, and was struck by an 18-year-old driver. He died at the scene. Witnesses say the man was walking in a non-cross walk area.
