A medical emergency might have led to an accident that killed a 66-year-old man in Gratiot County on Tuesday evening. Sheriff, Michael Morris put out a press release to a “be on the lookout” issued to law enforcement about an erratic driver crossing into the EB lane of M-57 while driving West, just a minute before the crash. Dennis Svok was pronounced dead at the scene near Rich Road around 7:35pm. A 25-year-old-woman from Grand Rapids struck his vehicle head on – suffered minor injuries & was treated at a local hospital. Alcohol doesn’t appear to be a factor in this crash, which remains under investigation.
