Central Michigan University announced the hiring of Michael Alford as the new Athletic Director. CMU selected Alford over four other finalists. Alford is currently the senior associate athletics director at the University of Oklahoma. He replaces Dave Heeke who left for the University of Arizona in April. In a press release, President George Ross says Alford has a strong history of fundraising and marketing in college and professional athletics. His first official day with CMU Athletics will be July 3rd.
