Red Wings Eliminated From Playoffs With Loss to Hurricanes

For the first time in 25 years, the Detroit Red Wings will not be a playoff team after being eliminated in a 4-1 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes Tuesday night. The Red Wings won four Stanley Cups and six Presidents’ Trophies during the 25 year stretch. Tomas Nosek scored Detroit’s lone goal in the loss, his first NHL goal.
