The Gratiot County Board of Commissioners voted 4-1 last week to approve a recommendation to hire a financial administrator. Vice chair Jan Bunting cast the dissenting vote. The financial administrator would assist the county administrator in preparing an annual budget for a fiscal year between October 1st and September 30th. The person would also forecast long-term budget requirements. The position would pay between $47,000 and $52,000 annually.
