Residents and members of the Alma City Commission gathered to voice their opinions regarding Alma becoming a Welcoming City at Tuesday’s commission meeting. The commission did not take any action, citing the meeting as an information gathering session. City manager Phil Moore wants more information and opinions from the city’s major employers. The Gratiot County Republican Party wrote a letter to Moore last week strongly opposing the designation.
