The Mt Pleasant City Commission unanimously approved new and improved lighting at eight school crossing sites in the city. The legislation comes four months after a crossing guard was hit by a car near Sacred Heart Academy. The driver said he couldn’t see the guard. A “No Parking Here to Corner” sign will also be placed on the east side of Lansing Street near Sacred Heart.
