A crossing guard helping students from Sacred Heart Academy cross the street was hit by a car early Thursday morning. The accident occurred at the corner of Michigan and Franklin just before 7:45AM. The driver of the vehicle said he never saw the guard standing in the intersection. The guard was taken to the hospital for a leg injury. The driver wasn’t immediately ticketed, but a report will be forwarded to Isabella County prosecutors.
