A driver and passenger were arrested in downtown Mt Pleasant after failing to pull over for police Sunday night. A brief chase ensued, ultimately ending on the corner of Locust and Oak Streets. The man was initially argumentative with police. The passenger exited the vehicle, despite police directives to stay inside, and walked into a residence, locking the door. Eventually he answered the door and got into a scuffle with police before being arrested.
