Several Isabella County and Gratiot County chain stores; Walmart,Target, and Meijer were victims in the case, each reporting nearly 1 grand in electronic merchandise stolen. Multiple police departments from both counties worked to obtain evidence in what appeared to be a group of college kids teaming up to take the electronic items. The video was shared with both Alma College and CMU, leading to two suspects being identified as CMU students. Many of the items were found when police executed a search warrant at a residence hall at CMU. For more information check out The Morning Sun article here.
