Strong winds and ice knocked out power for thousands of mid-Michigan residents on Monday night. Much of Shepherd went dark, along with some areas in northern Clare County and patches in Gratiot County. Some areas in Gratiot and Clare Counties remain dark this morning, but Consumers Energy expects all customers to have power again by 11:00PM Tuesday.
