Police in Midland County confirmed that the woman responsible for the murder of 67-year-old Rayton Nies on Monday night was found dead in her car from a gunshot wound early on Tuesday. 28-year-old Stephanie Nies was considered armed and dangerous after the incident before police released the news of her death. The incident remains under investigation, but police are treating it as a homicide and suicide.
