A federal judge sentenced Mt Pleasant man Charles Benz to 55 months in prison for domestic assault by a habitual offender. Benz was also given three years of supervised release. He pleaded guilty on June 24th to charges of breaking into his girlfriend’s home and physically assaulting her.
