Central Michigan University police now believe the sightings of creepy clowns on campus reported on social media were hoaxes. As of Tuesday, police can’t confirm any official sightings. Lt. Cameron Wassman said on Tuesday that the posts on Monday “spiraled out of control and got everybody spun up,” including one of a clown carrying a knife.
