The Midland Downtown Development Authority unanimously approved a first proposal of a $9.5 million streetscape project on Wednesday. The remodel would cater to more and safer pedestrian usage and provide more space for outdoor and street events. The new design also offers more outdoor dining options and bicycle accessibility. Midland city clerk Selina Tisdale says the design would bring a more contemporary design to downtown Midland.
