A federal judge sentenced Isabella County man Marc Lamothe to 55 months in prison on Tuesday for strangling his girlfriend. The 30-year-old pleaded guilty on May 9th to assault of an intimate partner by strangulation. Evidence suggested he pulled a knife and pinned his girlfriend down on the bed with his forearm on her throat while threatening to kill her on April 1st. Lamothe also received three years of supervised release.
