Miguel Cabrera crushed a 9th inning home run lifting the Detroit Tigers to a 4-3 victory and a series sweep over the Boston Red Sox on Wednesday. Rookie starter Michael Fulmer surrendered three runs on seven hits in 7 2/3 innings pitched. The Tigers improved to six games over .500, their best mark since July 3rd.
