In an effort to protect Michigan children from sexual abuse, particularly under the guise of medical treatment, legislation signed this summer took effect last week. The governor says the bill was designed to strengthen state laws to protect survivors of sexual abuse better and hold abusers accountable by ensuring young people know how to identify abuse & where to turn if they need help.
