49-year-old Darcy Loomis of Gratiot County was ordered to spend six months in jail and pay back $28,000 by a judge on Monday. Loomis embezzled the money from 72-year-old Patricia Shaffer, who she was in charge of taking care of. Loomis will also spend five years on probation, and still insists that she had permission to spend the money.
