The Detroit Tigers continued their woes in Kansas City falling 2-1 to the Royals in 13-innings on Sunday. Reliever Kyle Ryan, who was promoted from Toledo prior to the game, gave up a walk-off single in the bottom of the 13th to secure the loss. Jordan Zimmermann pitched eight strong innings, allowing only one run for Detroit. The Tigers finished their 10-game road trip with a 4-6 record, and return home tonight to play the Mariners.
