The Michigan State University board of trustees voted Wednesday to install permanent lighting at Spartan Stadium. The project should cost between $2.1 million and $2.5 million, and will be funded by the athletic department. Under the Big Ten’s new broadcast agreement starting in 2017, schools will be required to have permanent lights at home facilities.
