On Tuesday at 7:25 p.m., deputies from the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office were sent to a golf cart vs. vehicle personal injury accident on 100th Avenue near Pierce Road in Morton Township. The vehicle that side swiped the golf cart fled the scene. They described it as a white Ford Expedition with black rims and tinted windows, with a white decal in the back upper left window. The golf cart was being driven by a 71-year-old male from Stanwood and had three passengers on board. A 17-year-old female from Colorado had to be taken by Aeromed to Grand Rapids. Deputies said all other people on the golf cart had minor injuries.
