Clare Public Schools officials have confirmed that Superintendent Jim Walter is on administrative leave but are mum about why. The Clare Board of Education released a statement this week indicating Walter was put on administrative leave during a closed session at a June 26 meeting, where they discussed “an employment issue that was brought to the board’s attention.” “Following a closed session, the board voted to hire a third party to investigate the matter,” the statement read. “Superintendent Walter has been on leave during the investigation.” Board members said they are hopeful “for a prompt resolution to this matter” and that they “remain focused on providing the best possible environment for our students and staff.”
