A hunter who mistakenly shot and killed a rare wolf in southern Michigan will not face charges. The incident occurred in January in Calhoun County, and began an investigation by the Michigan DNR. It still remains unclear how the gray wolf, typically found in the northern parts of the state, ended up in the southern region.
