An Oakland County law firm has filed a civil suit against a Mt. Pleasant coffee shop, claiming violations of the civil rights of (3) LGBTQ+ employees, who were all fired in June, after allegedly writing pride-related trivia on a blackboard. The suit was filed yesterday in Isabella County Trial Court against Biggby Coffee on Bluegrass. Employees Edwin Williamson & Mikaila Brown, allege co-owner Landon Palmer violated their rights, and are seeking monetary damages, reinstatement of their jobs, along with interest, costs & attorney fees.
