With a 40-year career, with The Heartbreakers, he sold over 84 million records and preformed for over 140 million fans across the globe.
Tom Petty died of an accidental overdose of fentanyl and oxycodone in in 2017. He had started taking the drugs following a hip injury. He was 66.
