Sinead O’Connor, the singer from Ireland famous for her 1990 recording of “Nothing Compares 2 U”, has died at the age of 56.
The cause of her death hasn’t been revealed publicly, though the family put together a statement saying, “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Sinéad. Her family and friends are devastated and have requested privacy at this very difficult time.”
She’s survived by her three children, Jake, Roisin, and Yeshua.
