A 14 year old veteran police officer has been charged with assault & public officer willful neglect of duty, after video from the city jail showed him beating a prisoner in the fingerprint processing room on June 13th! 48 year old, Matthew James Rodriguez, was arraigned on June 20th. A personal bond was set at $5,000. He’s currently on un-paid leave during the investigation.
