- When Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney made the surprise move of buying the Northern Wales soccer team Wrexham AFC, there were a lot of non-believers
- On Saturday, the team won their championship game and leveled up to League Two
- Both Reynolds and McElhenney were there in tears when the stadium erupted after the come-from-behind win
- The good news even got a reaction tweet from the Prince and Princess of Wales
- Wrexham is the 3rd oldest club, organized in 1864
- It took 15 years for the team to make it out of the National League… the bottom of the rung.
- The team has a huge American following thanks in part to the FX series “Welcome to Wrexham,” which will have a second season
- In July, the team will play Chelsea in a friendly match in Chapel Hill, North Carolina to bring those fans closer.
