Peter Aykroyd, a former cast member and writer on “Saturday Night Live” has died. The official cause of death for the 66-year-old has not been disclosed. Peter followed in his brother Dan’s footsteps, launching his comedy career by joining the Second City troupe in Toronto before joining “SNL” in 1979, where he earned a shared Emmy nomination in the category of outstanding writing in a variety or music program.
