Originally scheduled to debut in October, “Venom: Let There Be Carnage” was moved to a June 25th, 2021 release date after the pandemic closed theaters around the country. Now, the sequel has been pushed back again.

Sony’s Columbia Pictures has set a new release date of September 17th for the follow-up to 2018’s “Venom”, which surprised many in the industry with over $856-million at the global box office.

The delay is reported to be in place to give more time for postproduction, and also to get the release date further away from the late June release of the new James Bond movie, “No Time To Die”.
