Pat Sajak’s quips aren’t for everyone. The longtime “Wheel of Fortune” host is in hot water after mocking a contestant’s speech impediment during Monday’s episode. During contestant Chris Bimble’s introduction, Sajak mimicked his lisp… and it looks like folks at home weren’t laughing.
After Bimble described what he does for a living, Sajak put on a fake lisp to answer, “I see” as “I thee.” The joke got a few laughs from the production staff and contestants, but several viewers have taken to Twitter to slam Sajak for mocking the contestant’s lisp – even if it was just a joke that didn’t appear to upset the contestant himself.
“Thanks for making fun of people with a lisp on tonight’s show you arrogant overpaid jerk – Pat Sajak. Quit now,” writes one Twitter user. “Maybe if you grew up with a speech impediment you’d understand.”
