Simon Cowell has been recovering after breaking his back in a biking accident back in August. He’s still in physical therapy as he recovers at his Malibu home… and word is he’s thinking of taking legal action against the e-bike company that sold him the high-powered two-wheeler, Swind.
A former employee of the company claims the “America’s Got Talent” star is considering suing Swind for as much as $10-million in damages. Cowell broke his back in three places while riding the $20K bike outside his Malibu pad, undergoing a six-hour surgery to repair his spine… and while the former employee calls the bike a “death trap,” they also think the injuries could’ve been avoided.
“That thing is a death trap and should never have been sold to Simon without him being taught how to use it,” the insider says. “They knew at the factory this was extremely dangerous and it was discussed. The only way to stop the bike flipping is to put your whole body over the front wheel.”
