“It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia” has been renewed for a record-breaking four more seasons. The renewal – which brings the comedy up to 18 seasons – poises “Sunny” as the longest-running sitcom in television history, beating “Ozzie and Harriet’s” 14 seasons.

The long-running FXX comedy created by stars Glenn Howerton and Rob McElhenny first started in 2005. It was FX’s first original comedy and has become a cult favorite over the years, moving to FXX in 2013.

Season 15 will debut in 2021, previously announced as part of FX’s 2021 slate.
