We recently told you about Jason Momoa visiting with a seven-year-old fan who’s battling a rare form of brain cancer and now we have an update to the story with even more GOOD news. Danny Sheehan’s favorite superhero is Aquaman and when Momoa found out, he surprised the boy with a FaceTime call. During their chat, the two bonded over their love of dolphins, and Danny admitted he’d never seen one in person, but hopes to one day.
Two weeks after they talked, the “Aquaman” actor sent a care package to his new buddy, full of “Aquaman” gear and goodies, including a life-size replica of his on-screen trident. The card Momoa sent with it referenced their heart-to-heart: “Can’t wait to ride on some dolphins with you Danny! Love, Uncle Aquaman.”
Danny’s mom, Natalie Sheehan, says the gift was a big hit. “Danny was speechless — which, for one so talkative, was a true testament to how surprised he was,” she says. “My reaction was one of sheer delight, surprise and gratitude. Jason is a real-life superhero.”
