Fans don’t have to wait as long as they thought to find out what happens next in James Cameron’s “Avatar” franchise – just not on the big screen. Dark Horse Comics has announced sequel comic books to the 2009 movie. “Avatar: The Next Shadow,” coming out on January 6th, 2021, takes place right after the original film… meanwhile, the not-yet-titled “Avatar 2” movie is set for release in 2022.
