Legendary sex therapist Dr. Ruth has a message for parents as families quarantine together amid coronavirus. During this time, anxiety is high – and while every couple has disagreements, Dr. Ruth wants parents to keep their arguments away from the kids.
Think about it: there are a lot of changes happening, especially kids suddenly being out of school and away from their friends at the playground. At a time like this, Dr. Ruth says kids will be more worried than ever that their parents are “going to divorce.” Even if you are at a breaking point with your spouse, now isn’t the time… after all, divorce courts are all closed anyway.
“I want to make sure parents know if they have disagreements, how frightened children can be,” she adds. “If you have to argue, set your alarm for 1 a.m. and argue then, I promise great sex to anyone who puts their children’s anxiety first.”
