Get ready to make some noise this afternoon.
“Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon is starting the cowbell challenge during the coronavirus outbreak. Taking a cue from how Italians are handling the situation, at 3 p.m. Eastern, Fallon wants people to grab a cowbell or a pot and pan, open a window or door, and make some noise and “tell this virus to get away from us.”
Fallon has been doing “The Tonight Show: At Home Edition” from his log cabin home, with this wife working the camera and his kids drawing the show’s graphics. He’s also had guests FaceTiming into the show, including Lin-Manuel Miranda and Jennifer Garner.
In Italy, despite being quarantined, people are singing from their balconies in viral videos. Fallon’s challenge is a way to support first responders.
